“Getting outside into nature, whatever the adventure may be, allows me to disconnect, unwind, and just be me. On this particular weekend trip, we headed to the Uintas to camp, hike, and spend a few days outside. The Uintas have always felt like home, having grown up in Northern Utah. While it’s only a short drive away, it feels like you're worlds away once you’re there.”

DAY 1
Day one, we arrived in the afternoon, found a camp spot for the night and then headed to the trail to start our evening hike. We grabbed our windbreaker jackets and headlamps as we knew we would be returning after the sun had gone down and the cool had arrived. Starting the hike, it was clear it would be an uphill climb the whole way, but the views would be worth it.
After a few hours of hiking, we had made it to the top. Just in time to explore around, take in the 360-degree views, and watch the sun set in the west and the moon rise in the east. It was like nothing else existed. I was fully there, standing at 12,000 feet above the world in pure bliss.

DAY 2
The following day, we woke up at sunrise. We had our morning coffee, a quick breakfast, laced up our hiking boots and headed to another beautiful trail that would lead us around several lakes. We spent the day enjoying the warm sun, good laughs, and the mandatory trail snacks. We looped around the lakes peacefully before finally making it back to camp for the evening.
Once back at camp we had cocktails and cooked up a meal to enjoy around the campfire and finish off a perfect weekend in the mountains.
