2:24 p.m.

Charlotte is the first to get out of the van, followed by Fabien, Victor, and Laura. The schedule includes 2 days of  electric mountain biking in Beaufortain, in the Savoie region of France around the Lac de Roselend.

2:45 p.m.

With their hands on the bars and their cleats clipped in, the first few pedal strokes feel electric. On the horizon, the Lac de Roselend appears. The riders first make their way through stretches of alpine pastures and larch copses. This initial stage calls for some technical riding. After the winding paths on the plateaus, their route snakes through the forest. The four friends try a fork off the marked route with a few banked turns. This trail is full of thrills.

6:20 p.m.

They make for the ridge of Roche Parstire just in time to admire the sunset. In a few minutes, it will be swallowed up entirely behind the mountain.

8 p.m.

The cyclists arrive at the sleeping spot. Laura, Charlotte, Victor, and Fabien quietly settle in, warming up in the van. They use the vehicle’s battery to recharge their e-bikes. Time for a quick snack with bread, tasty spreads, and hot drinks.

The four friends linger, looking up at the star-filled skies, discussing their journey and what they felt. Charlotte is the first to tire, the others are soon to follow.

6:30 a.m.

The temperature is cool when they wake up at dawn. Breakfast is ready at Col du Pré as the sun peeks over the horizon with Lac de Roselend as a backdrop. Today, the four friends have just one goal, riding along Crête des Gittes.

9:10 a.m.

On their second day, our four friends ride with intensity. On this winding singletrack, Victor and Fabien start a playful race. Laura takes off from her saddle. They end up on a blue trail, ideal for recuperating a bit.

2 p.m.

The end is in sight. The four friends get off their bikes and catch their breath. Together, they savor the unique experience that ebikes have to offer. It’s an experience that always takes you faster and further for even more adventure.
