THE SUPER PROJECT
Rossignol’s SUPER project is a movement in graphic design with a singular purpose: to create a line of limited-edition products that call back to the most cherished and obscure parts of our heritage. SUPER is a design process that draws on elements from different mountain sports across our history, and combines them in three unique new products.
SUPER draws its inspiration from a beloved but rare ski from 1994 called the Super Virage, which was only sold in Japan. The ski’s loud, vivacious design symbolized the frenetic energy inherent in Japanese ski culture—with bright accents of pink, fuchsia, and purple. As a nod to one of our favorite but most obscure designs of all time, we’re bringing it back for a select time in a limited run of the Heretic mountain bike, the Black Ops 98 ski, and the Sashimi snowboard.
Rediscover them now as the Super Heretic, the Super Black Ops, and the Super Sashimi. As three burly toys built for descending gnarly mountains in all conditions, they’re made to play anywhere. Loud, capable, and one-of-a kind.

Born from the 2022 Enduro World Series championships, the Super Heretic is special bike. This particular iteration is distinguished by its unapologetically retro paint job. Available only in limited edition, the Super Heretic comes with our top build and is tuned for racing, but is equally at home in the park, or smashing gravity laps for fun on chunky and playful trails where speed is fun, but you’re less worried about the clock.
TECHNOLOGIES
FRAME
A full 29er with 160mm of travel, its sturdy aluminium frame and highly tuned four-bar suspension platform smooth out big hits while also quieting small-bump chatter, providing the versatility and confidence needed to tackle long enduro stages. Its lively geometry thrives in the air and in corners, gobbling them like trails snacks.
OHLINS
Based in Sweden, Öhlins is the most SUPERic suspension brand in the automobile and motorcycle industries, known across the world for premium, high-end designs.
The RXF38 fork has 160mm of travel with a stiff single crown chassis, and 38mm stanchions. It delivers top performance and precision over hard-hitting terrain. The RXF38 benefits from a huge range of intuitive adjustments. Riders can easily fine-tune the fork’s performance to suit any trail with 15 clicks of low-speed compression and rebound adjustment, and 3 clicks of high-speed compression.
The TTX22 is a coil shock that supplies the Super Heretic with 160mm of travel. It delivers supreme levels of performance, traction, and control. High-speed and low-speed compression adjustments offer a wide range of efficiency. The TTX22 is the go-to shock choice for professional gravity riders
SHIMANO XT
Shimano's XT drive train offers 12 speeds over a 10-51 cassette, so you’ll have the gear you need whether you’re grinding up a steep climb or hammering downhill sprint. The derailleur offers fast and precise shifting performance and supreme reliability.
Shimano XT brakes use four-pistons calipers for superior modulation and greater control. Front and back 203mm ICE TECH rotors are lightweight and top-of-class for heat dissipation and strength.
MAVIC
Mavic Deemax 29-inch wheels come with with 28mm (internal) rims and are high performance. Proven by the world’s fastest DH and enduro racers on the most extreme terrain, this high-performance 29-inch wheelset has earned its status as a racer’s favorite.
BURGTEC
