ALPIN SKI

CHOOSING THE RIGHT FIT

Your choice of ski, boot design and size will always be a very personal and subjective decision. Here we have compiled some factors that should be taken into account when deciding on which ski size to choose.

Optimal ski length is determined according to (in order): weight, physical ability, skier height and type of skier (aggressive/non-aggressive). Less aggressive skiers should choose a smaller size, while more aggressive and experienced skiers may want to choose a size up.

How does it work?

- Measure your height: 175 cm
- Define your skiing level: experienced
- Choose your ski type: piste
- Calculate your required ski length: 175 + Experienced (piste) = 175 + [-5.0] = [170, 175] cm

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great ski, but poor edge materials Joy to ski!! My only concern is the quality of the edges. For some reason the edges are made from very poor steel. To hand tune them, I basically spent two holmenkol files. The steel is either too hard or something, but the file just would not bite into this. Fir comparison, exactly same file lasts like two seasons on fischer racestock skis, where just three passes is enough to tune the edge. Rossi, you can do better, especially for such high end skis. If not for the edges, I would give them 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Carvers These are my 2nd shaped skis, and they are wonderful. They remind me of the feeling of racing on the Rossi Strato 105s from my past. Good hook up, great edge hold and a nice manageable pop finish. I skied these at Nakiska, Norquay & do quick night sessions at WinSport here in Calgary AB. Canada. They are great on piste rippers but can handle transitions including chop and moderate bumps. They have good edge hold but are accommodating. I do a lot of drills at the start of each ski session - pivot slips, garlands, etc. They handle all drills, hook up but are not twitchy, even with a 3 degree side edge angle. They intiate well, have great edge hold and stable at speed up to 60kph-ish. And at speed I can lock on high edge angles with my hip skimming the snow. I am 205lb (working to get back to 185lb) 6ft and got the 175cm (I should probably be on the 183cm). I am over the hill, ski with a knee brace, still like to rip everything but 80% of my time is on hard pack piste. A great all rounder ski. A suggestion to Rossignol for their next version of the MT - Keep the flex the same Keep the 74mm under foot Change the side cut to 1m less for all lengths Keep the titanal & LCT for edge hold & damping. Keep the red/black graphics subtle, perhaps add something as a homage to the Strato 105s. Thank you for a wonderful ski.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for firm, groomed turns when you want to carve! A friend and I both did a demo and then purchased Rossignol Pursuit 700, 177 cm skis nearly 3 years ago, have about 60 days on them, and love them. I purchased the Hero MT, 175 at the end of the 19-20 season and there is finally enough snow coverage to start using them in Feb. 2021. One day was an inch or two of wet snow over grooming and the skis carved right through the crud, and turned great. Yesterday it was 30 degrees and firm, groomed, corduroy. They were fantastic. Precise short and long turns. My ski buddy has the same length boots, so we trade skis. He was skiing my Pursuits and loved them, and switched to the MTs and said they were even more stable and a little quicker to turn. He typically skis a 90 cm under foot, all mountain ski, so it was like changing from an SUV to a true sports car. Now, he is looking to buy a pair. I'm 62, 225 lbs. and 5' 11". Former ski patrol. I also have Rossignol Experience 84, about 5 years old, 183 cm which are good in soft snow and crud, and three year old Super 7, 186 cm, that are great in all kinds of powder. Also 13 year old Nordica, Hot Rod, 84, 178 cm, for rock skis. Sold Blizzard Cochise, 108 mm as they were too soft in the tip and purchased Super 7, which are much firmer and easier to control on the groomed when looking for powder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Edge hold, stable, quick under foot if you want it When I cycle back to this ski it blows my mind. It's universal enough to have fun in a range of conditions too. It's not a one hit wonder. Edge when you want, smooth and flows too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't Beat That Price!!! I got my Multi Turn after a local demo last Holiday. This ski is exactly what I was looking for! I'm a race parent that's trying to keep up with my child and I also would consider myself the assistant to the assistant coach at the local H.S. race team. Reality is I'm a Tuesday Night Beer League-er with a kid in racing. This ski is quick edge to edge yet allows me to glide well too! It's full of power and has plenty of bite to handle the ice we normally ski on here in the Midwest. I did a little research before my purchase and I don't think that there is another ski that can stand up to this ski for the money! I see other people putting their weight and size on on here so, I'm roughly 195lbs, 6'2" and I got the 175. Thanks Rossignol for making me look better on the hill and making a ski that allows me to make turns in the course with my kid without blowing up my pocket book!

Why choose the Unisex Racing Skis Hero Elite Mt Ti (Konect)

LCT TECHNOLOGY

An evolution of World Cup racing innovation, Rossignol's patented new LCT construction harnesses pure power and energy, delivering fluid stability in all conditions. Featuring a central "power rail" integrated from tip-to-tail, LCT eliminates counter-flexing of the ski to ensure consistently smooth stability and dynamic control of your line.

RECTANGULAR SIDEWALL

RECTANGULAR SIDEWALL constructions feature a horizontal layering of core materials (wood, fiberglass, metal, etc.) combined with full-length vertical sidewalls to deliver optimized edge grip, precision, balance, and power.

ON TRAIL ROCKER

Adapted rocker at tip only. For easier pivoting on flat skis with a smooth and forgiving feel in the turns. The rise is designed so that once the ski is on its edge, the rocker section resumes contact with the snow, so then the ski works in the turn providing full-length edge contact.

POPLAR WOODCORE

The heart of the ski consists of a poplar core together with fiberglass. This gives the ski enormous fluidity and responsiveness. Poplar helps to maintain the ski's lively feel throughout its life.

OVERSIZED SIDECUT

The Oversized sidecut combines the very deep carving ski sidecut with current underfoot widths. The width at tip and tail delivers effective grip as well as power and precision. The underfoot width gives increased control and better hold in turns. Oversize sidecuts offer maneuverability, power and control
