ALPINE SKI

CHOOSING THE RIGHT FIT

Your choice of ski, boot design and size will always be a very personal and subjective decision. Here we have compiled some factors that should be taken into account when deciding on which ski size to choose.

Optimal ski length is determined according to (in order): weight, physical ability, skier height and type of skier (aggressive/non-aggressive). Less aggressive skiers should choose a smaller size, while more aggressive and experienced skiers may want to choose a size up.

How does it work?

- Measure your height: 175 cm
- Define your skiing level: experienced
- Choose your ski type: piste
- Calculate your required ski length: 175 + Experienced (piste) = 175 + [-5.0] = [170, 175] cm

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big upgrade Demoed these and really liked them but thought I could use a little bit wider on a 8"+ Powder day...looking for Super 7s now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absoluty outstanding I bought these skies after hiring them for a week off-piste in the alps, they were so responsive and do every I asked of them. Now owning them I use the for every from touring to on-piste skiing as I am confident carving at a casual pace and are just light enough to make moguls very enjoyable. I could not have been happier with spending my money on these and I can’t see how skies can get any better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hero ski of the year! I tried a demo a few months ago. So surprised and amazed that I didn't even stop for lunch. The fun-est, easiest and best ski I've ridden in my now 46 years on show. Full stop. I swear these boards must have some AI in them, they can almost read my mind! I have to tell people on the lift that I'm "not" a Rossi Rep., can't stop talking about them ;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent ski I used these for a couple of hours at Deer Valley for powder and found them responsive and fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winner! I had a pair of ladies S7's for years..Loved them but wanted to try the new version. Amazing difference. Carving is day and night better. I purchased the Women's Soul 7 HD because it was a little softer than than the mens (I tried both) and I like the softness in the bumps and powder. Very glad I made the purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Skied great! Demo'd the skis at the DeerValley yurt. Nice powder day. Skis were awesome! I was able to more difficult terrain with less work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boring design - Incredible Ski Tried these at Deer Valley on a great powder day. Incredible in the trees, on groomers, and in the pow. I'm looking to buy a pair asap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rossignol soul 7 HD Tested at democenter Dear Valley. Testconditions snowing, and many slopes and off slopes with deep snow. The skiies felt very light and easy turning. In the deep stuff you only needed to think turn, and they did, perfect in the deep snow in the woods. Weight a little back and they float like a dream. Didnt get to test on hardpack, but on prepared soft slope they carved well with a good stable feeling. It was a short test, but i immediately fell in love with this skiis. Highly recommended from me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Responsive and Reliable I demoed this ski for a few hors after hearing much about it for the past couple of years and easily see why it has so many fans and followers. Its a great lightweight all mountain pleaser!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Liked them so much I bought a pair the next day. Can be skied on the groomers, but definetly a powder ski.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Powder Ski I rented these during a heavy dump at Deer Valley, Utah a couple of weeks ago. For a first time powder ski user they were awesome as long as you're in the fluff. Once conditions packed down it was time to switch back to all mountain skis, but I couldn't believe how easy it was to turn these puppies once I was knee deep+

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ski for powder, but also great on groomers. The Soul 7 does everything I want a ski to do: great floatation in deep snow, easy turn initiation, lightweight and very stable on hardpack/groomed trails.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Off Piste Wonder Forgot to bring a book to read while skiing the powder and junk with these babies. Too much work on the groomers or harder bumps, so I will only be using for the powder days

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the best ski on the market. Having been a Rossi fan most of my ski life, I have been through several iterations of this ski. I was an early adopter of the S7, the ski that changed everything. Now every ski company has something similar. I then purchased a set of the original Soul 7s as well as a set of Super 7s. The Souls have been my daily driver for the past 4 years. Fantastic in the powder, they never disappoint whether in long sustained bump runs off Chair 9 (The Plunge) at Telluride, or running hot laps on High Boy and Eagle's Nest at Alta. They are the one ski quiver!! But, alas, with over 200 days on them, it was time for a change. A lucky day at Deer Valley found me in the Rossi Demo Center, and two quick runs on the 16/17 Soul 7 HD made up my mind. Why change a good thing?! Plus I noticed a little bit of extra snap that I think my trusted Souls had left behind. So....I bought a new set of Soul 7 HDs a couple of days ago. In the shop getting mounted as we speak. They will get a good warm up next week when I head to Summit County, CO to spend 5 days skiing with my buddy Denny. Try some Soul, Baby.....they will do you no wrong. (But what the heck does HD stand for???!!! Hot Dog? Heli Drop?)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great demo, great ski! After a very pleasurable experience at the Rossignol Test Center at Deer Valley, I immediately went and bought a pair of Soul 7 HD! I absolutely love these skis in all conditions. They are of course amazing in powder and crud but also carve incredibly well on hardpack. I will ski these in all conditions. I am also an older skier with a total knee replacement and these skis reduce the impact on my joints and muscles because they are effortless to turn and absorb everything so well. Best ski I've ever owned!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light, surface riding helped me Last time I tried E88 at Deer Valley and bought them as well as four of my friends so now when we ski we look like a Ad for E88s. The Soul& were great and as a all mountain West ski, I am considering buying them, my friend dumped his old skis on the spot an purchased them that afternoon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soul 7 HD I tested the Soul 7 HD and bought a pair the next day. I am a big mountain, deep and steep 7 days a week skier at Deer Valley, Utah. The 106 mm under foot Soul 7 HD is my powder ski of choice. The Powder Turn rocker and sandwich minincap construction with a 136 mm tip and a 126 mm tail provides the Soul 7 HD the versatility to get me in and out of the trees and across bumps and into the powder with ease while still allowing me to have an edge and carve my way back to the lift. Without question the most versatile free ride - all mountain - powder machine I have every owned. You got this one right Rossignol!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Found my fountain of youth Recently while skiing Utah with my 24 year old son and two of his friends. I was struggling to keep up. On the five day trip we received over 7 feet of snow. It was day four and we were skiing Deer Valley. The powder was deep and struggling a bit in the deep powder with my skis I saw the Rossignal demo center and decide to try out a pair of 188cm Soul 7 skis. We immediately took the lift up and skied Cenntenial a double black. I was amazed at the ease I confidence these skis gave me. I had a hard time bring these skis back in 2 hours. Skiing blacks and double blacks my confidence soured I was beating the kids down many of the runs. I rented a pair the next day in Snowbird they made my trip. Got to buy a pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around fun Been skiing the first soul 7's for three years and loving them for all conditions and ski patrol work. I have them mounted for Telemark but ski a third of my time in a parallel stance. I weigh 195 lbs and ski the 188cm. Got the new soul7HD and found improvements in edge control and power in all conditions! Wowzy......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! I demoed these skis at Timberline on Mt. Hood and I think I lucked into some awesomeness! I used to be an expert telemarker, but hadn't been on skis in 20 years since moving to Maui. So I was a little apprehensive about turning some big boards. Fat skis were just coming out when I stopped skiing. Wow, after just a few minutes I was carving and feeling confident. Not in my skill level, but in the edges. These skis felt stable, driveable, and fun! Giving the confidence so I could push myself, after such a long layoff, I think says a lot about this design. I'm headed to Hokkaido soon, hoping for that deep dry powder they are known for. I'll search these skis out and maybe have to buy some. They must be incredible in the powder.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from you guys messed it up Love the ski, i dont actually own a pair, but i demo-ed it last season and was about to get a pair for this coming season. Just decided i'm not gonna because they messed up the design so bad. I'ts not like they were my only option, but i just got super disappointed because of that
