Big Sky, Montana
EPISODE 4 :
CHRIS WALCH, BIG SKY, MONTANA
Be where you are least expected to be: that's the credo of Chris Walch, entrepreneur and ski instructor in Big Sky, Montana, USA.
Determined to shake things up, Chris chose to leave her native Hawaii and move to Europe to reconnect with her father's roots in the mountains of Austria. At the age of 22, she discovered skiing, which would become an integral part of her life.
Upon her return to the United States, she founded the Women of Winter non-profit, which aims to build community, provide education and support women leaders , especially women of color, in the mountain environment. Aware that she cannot change the world, Chris Walch is nevertheless determined to change the world in which she lives and to act in service of greater diversity and inclusiveness in winter sports. Meet her in the great American outdoors.
"I think a lot of us, snowsports athletes and enthusiasts, can relate to this skiing analogy I have for how you design your life. You either choose to ski a really direct, well-marked line that you know is safe, that you know a lot of people have skied, that you know patrol is there to come help you if you need it. Or you can choose your own non-linear path. There may be unknowns and uncertainty, and someone hasn’t been there to show you the way, but on the other side of that could just be the best pow field you’ve ever skied in your life. I’m so grateful and appreciative that I’m getting to ski literally and metaphorically the best pow fields of my life with Rossignol, and am so thankful to the wonderful film crew for capturing our journey so beautifully."

EPISODE 3 :
LOGAN PEHOTA, WHISTLER
The Pehota family is one of the most revered names in big mountain skiing. Based in the heart of the Canadian Coast Range, in Permberton, B.C., Eric and Parveen raised their two boys on the land, and on the sports it provided.
Eric was a pioneering ski mountaineer who cataloged over 40 first descents in the ’80s ’90s, and his eldest son, Logan, has followed in his footsteps. After initially starting out ski racing and competing in slopestyle, Logan turned his attention entirely to freeride. He’s since stood on the podium of the World Tour numerous times, including a first place finish at the 2018 Canadian stop at Kicking Horse, which thrust him into the global spotlight.
According to his dad, who’s also a freeride champion, Logan sees lines on the mountain no one else does. Dive into their shared world as they revel in the deep Canadian powder of their burly home mountains.
"Making this film was a treat, I've been with Rossignol my entire life and my father since 1987. We’ve been making memories and sharing good times all along the way and this film gives you glimpse into what our lives are like chasing snow together."
"I was raised in the mountains of BC, skiing is not only a sport but a family lifestyle. We do what we love and Rossignol has been a huge part of our family’s lives. It was nice to share our story in our home and our mountains."

EPISODE 2 :
JESSICA MILLET-GOUCHOE, ALPE D'HUEZ
To meet Jessica is to discover the story of a miracle worker. The little girl who dreamed big and became a great skier before an aneurysm brutally interrupted her preparation for the Sochi Olympic Games in 2014. She is now happy to be with the champions of the ESF in Alpe d'Huez where she has been teaching for several seasons and coaching the U10s.
"The film crew was very professional and made me feel comfortable immediately. I spent three great days shooting, practicing my passion in my favorite resorts (L'Alpe d'Huez and Les 2 Alpes). My favorite part of the shoot was on the bus, blasting music with all the kids. What I learned: when you have a camera fixed on your ski boot, you have to really measure the angle so that it doesn't explode in flight ;) "
