ALPINE SKI

CHOOSING THE RIGHT FIT

Your choice of ski, boot design and size will always be a very personal and subjective decision. Here we have compiled some factors that should be taken into account when deciding on which ski size to choose.

Optimal ski length is determined according to (in order): weight, physical ability, skier height and type of skier (aggressive/non-aggressive). Less aggressive skiers should choose a smaller size, while more aggressive and experienced skiers may want to choose a size up.

How does it work?

- Measure your height: 175 cm
- Define your skiing level: experienced
- Choose your ski type: piste
- Calculate your required ski length: 175 + Experienced (piste) = 175 + [-5.0] = [170, 175] cm

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enjoyed the experience line for many years I have skied the experience line for a number of years, starting with the experience 84's about 5 years ago. I have thoroughly enjoyed them. While I do admit that I liked the 84's over the 86's, the 86's have been very reliable in almost any terrain and snow conditions. I do have a separate powder ski for those deep days, but the 86 can handle the icy groomers to the 10cm of fresh days with ease. And I love the bindings! I have been able to easily adjust them for snow conditions and friends who'd like to try them out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probably the best one-ski-quiver you can own Was able to ski the 23-24 version at Ragged Mountain on March 26, 2023. Conditions were firm in the morning (frozen up overnight) and then got soft by noon. This ski performed brilliantly in both. I skied the 186 and it turns quickly. It doesn't dive into the turn like the Hero Elite Plus Ti, but just tip it on its side and it turns nicely. Just a great feeling ski. I'm retired from teaching skiing in Vail, but if I were still there this would be the one I skied daily. It'll handle powder up to 6-8 inches with its wide tip and 86 under foot. Just a great ski. Get it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great frontside skis! I have skied on the Experience 86 TI for a season. These skis rip on groomers, shred bumps, and are decent in some moderate off-piste conditions. Not ideal for soft snow and crud. They do okay in some soft snow and crud but that is not there forte. When it gets deep these are not the skis I reach for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around skis !!! One of the most versatile skis I’ve ever tried. The Exp 86 Ti is a little bit more aggressive than the Basalt. Overall, a very good product for the skiing conditions in Quebec…
