SNOWBOARD

Looking for a Rossignol snowboard? Not sure which size of board to choose? We're here to help! Whether you're a fan of freeride, freestyle or just looking for a versatile snowboard, Rossignol has developed a range of different snowboards to suit your needs.

How to choose the right size of board

Usually the length of board chosen sits between the chin and the nose of the rider, i.e. between 10-20 cm less than the rider's overall height, depending on the level and ride style. For freestyle riding, choose a snowboard that sits between your shoulder and chin, and for freeride between your nose and chin.  We recommend that you take into account the suggested weight charts, manufacturers' recommended levels and ride style when narrowing down your selection.

- Weight: the greater the weight of the rider, the longer (and sometimes wider) the snowboard must be in order to withstand greater pressure.
- Level: the more experienced the rider, the more they will be able to adapt the size of their board to suit the ride style being practised. A short snowboard will be easier to handle, while a long snowboard will be more stable.
- Ride style: for freestyle snowboards should be shorter, usually lighter, more manoeuvrable and easier to twist and rotate, and for freeride they should be longer, usually more stable at high speed and more suited to powder.

Boot length is the actual measurement taken from the heel to the front end of the boot, and should not be confused with MONDO/US/UK/EURO shoe size measurements. Suggestions for acceptable boot length take into account the width of the board at the inserts and were calculated with a positive angle of 15° on the front foot and a negative angle of 9° on the back foot. Boot length will need to be different if these angles are not the same. For example, they can be 0.5 cm larger at higher angles and 0.5 cm smaller at lower angles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Playful Board for Ripping Carves This board is an absolute blast to ride on. I was looking to upgrade my old board to something with newer technology. As a ski patroller (on a board), I don't spend any time in the parks, but love to tear carve it up on the hill at top speeds. This board has such incredible edge hold when I'm pulling through the hardest parts of a carve. I ride mostly in the midwest, where we have what we like to call 'loud powder'. Others tend to call it ice, and this board holds an edge through it without a problem. It also blasts through thicker piles of snow without trying to buck you around. I was amazed at how much it absorbs chatter and turns just feel buttery smooth. It does well and short, medium, and large radius turns, but feels most at home with those large euro turns. The flex is fun to play with and I've loved doing some tail presses to change things up a bit. I also really appreciate the design. It seems like so often girls graphics can be overly cutesy, and I love how this is feminine but fierce. Overall a really well done, versatile board that can take you anywhere you want to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing women’s all mountain board! This board is awesome! I stopped riding park a few years ago and wanted to get a good all mountain board to rip around the resorts. I feel like such a stronger rider on this one. It’s super surfy in the powder, and holds an edge well on more firm snow. If you’re a female looking for a new snowboard, I’d give this one a try for sure!

Why choose the Women's Rossignol After Hours snowboard

AMPTEK ELITE ROCKER

TWIN FREESTYLE

TWIN FREESTYLE • Symmetrical flex • Stiffer under feet for pop and balance • Softer waist for easy manipulation and control

TPU

RADCUT

TURN TECHNOLOGY: A traditional sidecut between the inserts fuses with multiple reverse sidecuts toward the tip and tail, providing real time sidecut adjustment to the ride, ie. longer when faster, shorter when slower, and delivering the perfect cut at all times. RadCut is off ered in multiple versions, each tailored for individual riding styles. More aggressive sidecut blends deliver quicker, livelier turns while smoother sidecuts offer a more fluid, relaxed ride.

ABS

Offered as walls or built in cores, ABS provides enhanced durability while keeping the core safe from moisture.

GLASS FIBER

Has greater elongation before break than carbon and comes in multiple weights and weavings, making it our #1 choice for customized flex and torsional resistance. Glass fiber also stabilizes the mechanical properties of our wood cores over time.

LITE FRAME TECHNOLOGY

WOOD (3510 + 4515 + 5620 + 6420)

Our standard WOOD core features a single type of wood vertically laminated to give you durability and comfort without breaking the bank.
