For Nordic skiing, your pole must reach your shoulder. For skate skiing, measure the distance from the ground to your ear; even if it seems high, it's the minimum needed to generate good thrust. |

I like thte pole, but not the wrist strap.
The pole is light and as I expected. The wrist strap is very small, and will not close around my hand when I wear a glove. My hand is not very large, but the strap is very undersized.

HAND STRAPS ON SKI POLES
I like the poles and the fit of the hand straps. The hand straps can be improved though. Both ends of the hook portion of the velcro should be sewn flat so they slide through the metal loop without catching. My wife did this for me and sewed the v shaped fabric that is supposed to stop the strap from going through the metal loop when putting your had through. She also added a loop of cord so I can easily get my hands in without pulling the strap through the metal loop.
