Last winter, we met 4 mountain lovers, four people who have made the mountains their profession and source of happiness. The mountains are a place of sharing, discovery, and sensation—each person taking their own unique path, but united by their shared passion. Come and meet them.

EPISODE 4 :
CHRIS WALCH, BIG SKY, MONTANA

Be where you are least expected to be: that's the credo of Chris Walch, entrepreneur and ski instructor in Big Sky, Montana, USA.   

Determined to shake things up, Chris chose to leave her native Hawaii and move to Europe to reconnect with her father's roots in the mountains of Austria. At the age of 22, she discovered skiing, which would become an integral part of her life.  

Upon her return to the United States, she founded the Women of Winter non-profit, which aims to build community, provide education and support women leaders , especially women of color, in the mountain environment. Aware that she cannot change the world, Chris Walch is nevertheless determined to change the world in which she lives and to act in service of greater diversity and inclusiveness in winter sports. Meet her in the great American outdoors. 

EPISODE 3 :
LOGAN PEHOTA, WHISTLER

The Pehota family is one of the most revered names in big mountain skiing. Based in the heart of the Canadian Coast Range, in Permberton, B.C., Eric and Parveen raised their two boys on the land, and on the sports it provided.

Eric was a pioneering ski mountaineer who cataloged over 40 first descents in the ’80s ’90s, and his eldest son, Logan, has followed in his footsteps. After initially starting out ski racing and competing in slopestyle, Logan turned his attention entirely to freeride. He’s since stood on the podium of the World Tour numerous times, including a first place finish at the 2018 Canadian stop at Kicking Horse, which thrust him into the global spotlight.

According to his dad, who’s also a freeride champion, Logan sees lines on the mountain no one else does. Dive into their shared world as they revel in the deep Canadian powder of their burly home mountains.

EPISODE 2 :
JESSICA MILLET-GOUCHOE, ALPE D'HUEZ

To meet Jessica is to discover the story of a miracle worker. The little girl who dreamed big and became a great skier before an aneurysm brutally interrupted her preparation for the Sochi Olympic Games in 2014. She is now happy to be with the champions of the ESF in Alpe d'Huez where she has been teaching for several seasons and coaching the U10s.

EPISODE 1 :
DIDI HAASE, LA GRAVE

André Haase, AKA Didi, is a man with many facets and many lives. At one time a high-level athlete, then a textile engineer, organizer of the Derby de La Meije, and today he is the owner of Snowlegend, a store and guide office near the mythical La Grave cable car. An "Alpine Soul" whose values are anchored to the mountains, often recalling that he "has been freeriding the Grave since 1993". His story continues with his daughter Leeloo, who inherited his passion for the mountain and skiing.
