The SC97 is for the telemark, AT, or alpine powder skier looking for a versatile, all-mountain, freeride ski to go anywhere on the mountain. It charges down the hill with the precision of a race ski, but has the user-friendly feel of a freeride ski. The new SC97 is the apex of wide all-mountain skis. With its 97mm waist, it glides through powder like a butterfly, yet busts through relentless crud with amazing ease. Bowls, glades, and frozen hard-pack are no match for this new generation of wide-waisted freeride ski.

SANDWICH CONSTRUCTION

SANDWICH CONSTRUCTION

A modern sandwich construction built with wood or Microcell cores, vertical sidewalls, fiberglass and/or metal, high-tech laminates. Changing the laminate materials modifies the ski’s degree of reactiveness and stability. The ROSSITOP mini cap increases the ski’s durability and facilitates rebound. Traditional sidewalls produce crisp, direct edging pressure. Modifying sidewall angles and materials drastically alters the ski’s aggressiveness to match the model’s usage.

SHARKNOSE

SHARKNOSE

An aluminum insert integrated into the tip of the ski increases torsional rigidity for added control at high speeds. This greater rigidity allows the ski to push through inconsistent snow without losing grip.

Rocker - TIP HEIGHT:65 mm

Early rise built into the tip profile dramatically improves the turn initiation and flotation in all conditions. The wider the waist width; the earlier the rise, the higher the tip height for more agility in pow, tracked-out crud, and spring corn.

Vibration Absorbing System
Visco elastomer material integrated into the ski’s construction to dampen vibrations, adding greater control, stability, and contact with the snow.

WOOD CORE

WOOD CORE

Wood cores provide ultimate feel, power and durability. Rossignol produces 90% of it's adult skis with wood cores. Rossignol now uses more wood cores throughout the product lines to produce the best responsive feel with maximized stability. The cores are made from Ash, Poplar and Fume treatments and are hand milled to the shape of each skis profile. Wood used in Rossignol skis is harvested by the factory from sustainable wood, grown in renewable tree farms.
