We Rise – Rossignol Women

Q&A with Jordan CHAMBERLAIN

Q&A with Jordan CHAMBERLAIN, Rossignol Women program influencer.

Who are you? Tell us more about where you live, what you do, what you like…

I grew up in Southern California near the beach but I’ve lived in Park City, Utah for the last 13 years. I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and work with kids who have autism. When I’m not working, I’m most likely adventuring in the mountains or at the climbing gym. I also love traveling to different countries to surf a couple times a year.

Why did you apply to become a Rossignol Women ambassador?

JORDAN CHAMBERLAIN

When I first heard about the women’s “We Rise” campaign, I wanted to be part of it and share its powerful message with women all around the world. I want to encourage women to get out in the mountains and know that they are capable of achieving anything if they work hard and believe in themselves.

What’s your favorite product in our ranges?

JORDAN CHAMBERLAIN

I love the diva splitboard! It’s light, easy to ride and super quick to put together. I’ve also really been enjoying the all track trail mountain bike this summer! I take it on trails all around Park City, both technical and flowy single tracks.

When you’re not skiing in winter, you’re biking or hiking in summer. What do you like in outdoor sports?

JORDAN CHAMBERLAIN

I love the peace I feel when I’m in nature and away from crowds. Being in the mountains helps me stay centered and calm despite so much chaos going on in the world. I love finding breathtaking views and listening to the sound of animals, leaves and the rocks underneath my feet. I love trail running, hiking peaks, rock climbing and mountain biking. I get super motivated to set goals and push myself out of my comfort zone. I’m also surrounded by an amazing community of outdoor enthusiasts who share the same passion for the mountains as I do.

You’re a freerider, what do you like in this discipline?

JORDAN CHAMBERLAIN

For my first 10 years snowboarding, I was really into riding the terrain park. But over the last few years, I’ve made a big transition into mostly free riding and less park riding. I think I just have a stronger appreciation for the mountains and natural terrain now days. It’s unpredictable, feels more adventurous, and I can get more creative. I just start cruising and follow whatever path my heart wants to take. I feel so free and it’s a way for me to unplug from the rest of life and really be in the present moment.

What are your favorite places to ski/snowboard?

JORDAN CHAMBERLAIN

I love Solitude Mountain Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon (SLC) because it never seems to get too crowded, has amazing terrain, and untouched powder several days after a storm. I also love to get out in the backcountry and explore aesthetic couloirs, find untouched snow, and get in some great cardio at the same time!

Who’s your favorite athlete? Why?

I really look up to Caroline Gleich. Nothing can stop that girl from reaching her ambitious mountain goals (summited Mount Everest in 2019 to promote gender equality in sports). She has so much passion and determination and she empowers women to do the same.

What’s your motto in your life?

JORDAN CHAMBERLAIN

If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.
