Ski selection, both model and length, always will be a very personal and subjective decision.  When making your length decision, we have found the following factors should be taken into consideration.

Optimal ski length is typically determined by the following order: weight, ability, height, and aggressiveness.  Less aggressive advancing skiers should error on the shorter size, while more aggressive and accomplished skiers may choose to move up a size.

Questions

2500g a pair, for which size? What are the weight for other sizes?

Asked by: PearP
Hi, The Seek 7 has a weight of 2500 g in reference to the 176 cm length. We would recommend going into an authorized Rossignol dealer to get your hands on a pair. Can you mount the Marker Kingpin touring binding on the Seek 7? If you can, what size Kingpin binding should you mount?

Asked by: Voyageur
Hi, The SEEK 7 is intended for lightweight backcountry use only. The goal of this ski was to build a product as lightweight as possible, the ski is constructed with the lightweight touring only binding mounting plate. By doing this , it makes the SEEK 7 only compatible with touring "pin" style bindings. This ski is not ISO 8364 compatible, which is the standard for traditional alpine bindings. That being said, the recommended bindings for the Seek 7 is the LOOK HM 12 binding with a 90 mm brake width. Thank you! The Rossignol Team!

I'm stuck on sizing. These look to be manufactured quite short (all the way down to 154, max 182. I'm 5'9", 140lbs, ski aggressively, and normally ski mid-170s inbounds. Would the 176 be too long for backcountry, or am I missing something?

Why choose the SEEK 7 TOUR

AIR TIP

This exclusive Rossignol technology has been masterminded for freeriding and wide open spaces! The tip is filled with air for maximum lightness and built to retain maximum torsional rigidity. The ski's weight is redistributed, the tip is lightened for greater ease, safety and versatility, and the weight is focused in the center of the ski to maximize control and power beneath the skier's feet. THE ROCKER REVOLUTION IS HERE!

PAULOWNIA & CELL CORE

Designed for lightweight free-touring, vertical strips of MICROCELL and PAULOWNIA create a featherweight core construction for the ultimate blend of ultra-light energy, shock absorption, and stability.

CENTRAL DUALTEC

Central Dualtec combines sandwich and cap construction. Sandwich construction in the center of the ski for effective grip, cap construction at tip and tail for easier turn initiation. This technology delivers a very fluid and comfortable ride. Grip, Ease, Durability.

MINICAP SANDWICH

Very solid construction with reinforced topsheet for more durability. The sidewalls are angled at 30° to reduce inertia and overall weight while improving grip.

POWDER ROCKER

Designed for the deepest powder days, our most progressive rocker/camber profile delivers an award-winning balance of confident versatility and effortless float. The blend of longer, lower tip rocker, tapered tail profile, and traditional camber underfoot allows easy steering, instant speed control and the power, energy, and grip to get you back to the lift.
