Nowadays, there are more and more freeride competitions that helps the sport to developp and young riders to rise on an international scene. Anna Martinez and Max Palm, both part of the Rossignol family were riding on the Freeride Junior Tour circuit and both crushing it on their respective category.

Max is a 16yo skier riding on the Freeride Junior Tour for the past 2 years. From a Swedish mother and a French father, he grew up in different ski resorts in France such as La Grave, Serre Chevalier to finally settle down in Chamonix, where his parents are still living. Like the majority of skiers, he strated skiing from the day he could walk in an alpine club in Chamonix until he was 10. Then, the desire of leaving the gates and enjoying a bigger playground was two strong, so he changed the alpine ski club for the Young Riderz Crew, which teach him ski freeride for several years. For a year now, Max is lives in Les Arcs during the winter and he is now training with a new club, the Freeski Academy that is following him on competitions. More than ever, freeriding is defintelly his favorite sport now, the proof is that he ended up on the second place of the overall ranking Europe - Oceania this season in the ski men category.

Anna, 18yo is living in the Chamonix valley, in Les Houches, and she is currently studying sport in Chambéry, France. She started snowboarding when she was 8yo and competed for the first time in boardercross, and then in giant when she was 11yo.

Dance as second passion, she decided to stop boardercross and giant competitions to give more time to learn and improve her dancing skills, at her 15yo she followed her studies in a dance conservatory in Annecy. But she wanted to still practice snowbaording, she tried for the first time to compete in freeride, kind of "for fun". But the thing is, it wasn't jus for fun, because she loved that so much that she decided to took a licence and subscriptions for all the competitions possible around France and Switzerland. After this first season of competition, she ended up to be the new Europe - Ocenania snowboard women champion! Since 2017, she left the dance conservatory to start training with the Young Riderz Crew in Chamonix to keep her title and get ready to evolve on the Freeride World Qualifier circuit and, who knows, getting upgraded on the Freeride World Tour someday.
