A good-fitting helmet shouldn't compress your head, but should remain well positioned when/if your head is shaken. You can use a tape string or our Head Sizer to measure the circumference of your head, passing over your ears and staying 0.78 inches above your eyebrows. Many of our helmets have a knob to adjust and fine-tune the fit for additional comfort and safety. Ideally, with the helmet on, you should be able to twist the helmet forward and back and see your eyebrows moving along with it. If the helmet slides forward or back too easily and/or without eyebrow movement, it's not providing the ideal fit.

IMPACTS TECHNOLOGY

Even low-intensity shocks that leave no visible trace can alter the protection helmets provide and negatively affect resistance to future impacts. After taking into account the actual day-to-day usage of a ski helmet including, storage, transport, and usage, Rossignol has developed IMPACTS, a new technology that offers premium protection against multiple impacts without compromising on weight, style, or comfort.

ACTIVE VENTILATION

Adjustable vents enable airflow to be increased or decreased for more control over heat escape and temperature. This makes the helmet more comfortable throughout the day, no matter what the conditions.

SIZE ADJUSTMENT

An adjustment system using a dial to change the size for a more comfortable fit.

EPP MULTI-IMPACT

EPP offers a degree of flexibility and is a type of shape memory foam, which means it can distort a certain number of times but still retains its shock absorption properties in compliance with the CE standard.

IN MOLD

MIPS

ROTATIONAL FORCE AND OBLIQUE IMPACTS In any action sport, brain injuries and trauma are unfortunately frequent. Accident statistics show that most impacts are oblique. On falling or on impact, a rotational force is created. In Rossignol RH1 MIPS and RH2 MIPS helmets, incorporating MIPS technology, a component located between the exterior shell and the head slides on impact. This sliding action has the effect of reducing rotational forces on impact and so minimizing damage to the brain. IMPACT ANALYSIS Numerous studies have demonstrated a reduction in trauma to the brain on oblique impact with a helmet incorporating MIPS technology.
