On average, the ideal pole size is considered to be equal to the skier's height multiplied by 0.83 for classic cross-country skiing, and 0.89 for skate skiing. For Nordic skiing, your pole must reach your shoulder. For skate skiing, measure the distance from the ground to your ear; even if it seems high, it's the minimum needed to generate good thrust. |

Great adjustable pole.
Light weight, great adjustable range, good sized powder baskets - overall a great backcountry pole! Only improvement could be off-set baskets to minimize the pole getting caught on snow crust when skiing forward.
