Marie-Laure Brunet (Fra) reached her goal by taking the bronze in the Pursuit!

Feb, 17 2010

After her 6th place on Saturday’s Sprint, the 21 year-old biathlete, who was awaited for today’s race, confirmed by taking the Bronze!
With a 20/20 in the shooting, Marie-Laure celebrated her first Olympic medal and she is now hoping for more in the next days…
“Our team is very strong on these Olympics, we get a medal in each competition until now, that boosts a lot. After my result in sprint, I knew that I had my chances for the race today but it’s always difficult to concretize… During these two last days, I remained concentrated, especially on the shooting which determines a lot the final result.”
“About the race, after my last passage in the shooting range, I knew that I played for the medal, my ski was good.
As of the first lap, I felt that I had a very good glide on the skis and this allowed me to be concentrated on the other things. This medal is a great feeling and a good experiment… I hope to live again such a moment in the next days!”

Pietro Piller Cottrer (Ita), silver medallist in the 15 km F!

Feb, 16 2010

Bronze medallist in Pursuit in Torino’s Games, «Killer Piller» signs today his first silver medal in an individual olympic event!
After a difficult beginning of season, Pietro arrived in great shape in Canada since he took 2nd place in the 15 km World Cup event last week in Canmore! Stay tuned on Saturday for the Pursuit…
"I really won this silver medal, for me it’s not a question of loosing the gold. To be beaten by Dario Cologna is not negative, this medal is like a gold one to me even if I finished the race 24 seconds behind him. My season was not so good since now but I arrived in Canada 1à days ago and I made a podium place in Canmore. This helped me a lot to be focus again on these Olympic Games."

Biathlon: Marie Dorin clinches the Bronze in the Sprint!

Feb, 13 2010

The biathlete from Villard de Lans offered today to France its first Olympic medal! After a perfect shooting and a fast ski on the track, Marie, 23 years old, took the bronze in Sprint!
"I am really happy about this competition. I already made a 10/10 in the shooting, but today, I was also very good on the skis. I never think I could take a medal today. I didn’t think to the result, only the manner of making the course. Since the beginning of the week, I had the feeling to be on holiday. My main goal of the season was already achieved: to be in the Olympic relay. And then at the beginning of this sprint, I said to myself that it was important nevertheless! I was little bit stressed at the beginning, but once in the race, I forgot that".
