"I really won this silver medal, for me it’s not a question of loosing the gold. To be beaten by Dario Cologna is not negative, this medal is like a gold one to me even if I finished the race 24 seconds behind him. My season was not so good since now but I arrived in Canada 1à days ago and I made a podium place in Canmore. This helped me a lot to be focus again on these Olympic Games."
The biathlete from Villard de Lans offered today to France its first Olympic medal! After a perfect shooting and a fast ski on the track, Marie, 23 years old, took the bronze in Sprint!
"I am really happy about this competition. I already made a 10/10 in the shooting, but today, I was also very good on the skis. I never think I could take a medal today. I didn’t think to the result, only the manner of making the course. Since the beginning of the week, I had the feeling to be on holiday. My main goal of the season was already achieved: to be in the Olympic relay. And then at the beginning of this sprint, I said to myself that it was important nevertheless! I was little bit stressed at the beginning, but once in the race, I forgot that".
