Kristoffersen is giant!

Riders in this news :  Henrik KRISTOFFERSEN

What a weekend for the talented young Norwegian! Henrik Kristoffersen who earned a bronze Olympic medal in slalom two weeks ago and two titles of Junior World Champion in GS and Slalom last week, has signed two more podiums in World Cup in Kranjska Gora.
For the first time, the racer from Rossignol Team has claimed his first World Cup podium in Giant Slalom, ending third in Kranjska Gora (SLO) behind Ted Ligety and Benjamin Raich. “I was hoping I could be top five maybe, but to be on the podium is pretty amazing. I knew I could do it. I was in a great position after the first run. I did a small mistake in the second one, it cost me some time but I am still very happy with how things turned out. I have always said that GS is as important as slalom for me so it was important to get it going,” (Fis Alpine)

Plenty of confidence, Kristoffersen has finished her incredible week with a third place in slalom among the best skiers of the planet. “It’s a great weekend, two third places make me super happy. I was not sure if my second run would be enough for the podium – I knew both Felix could do a great run as he is skiing really well but I’m glad it still earned me a podium”. He is actually third of the World Cup slalom ranking with 430 points, 35 points behind Marcel Hirscher and 40 behind Felix Neureuther. The slalom of the finals in Lenzerheide would be so exciting the globe!
