Rossignol Group is delighted to announce that its best athletes have extended their contracts up to the Sochi Olympic Games in 2014.
Heading the list is Carl-Johan Bergman, double medalist at the Ruhpolding World Championships in 2012. Third in sprint and second in pursuit, the Swede has demonstrated his ability throughout the season, even wearing the yellow jersey of the World Cup leader in December. "The decision to continue with Rossignol was simple. To achieve my goals, I need the best skis and Rossignol is without doubt the best manufacturer for my skiing style. To be at my best, I need good support and Rossignol's Team Service produces the best skis on the market year after year. I love that! With the new X-IUM boots and the new X-IUM WCS skis, I am ready to go in search of Olympic medals!"
On the other side of the Atlantic, the American and Canadian leaders have also decided to extend their journey with Rossignol. Canadian Jean-Philippe Leguellec and Americans Lowell Bailey and Tim Burke will be proudly competing in Rossignol's colors.
Tim Burke: "I am continuing my association with Rossignol because I have 100% confidence in them. They always get me the best equipment. I am also very impatient to find out about the most recent innovations to be introduced. Rossignol is forward looking and goes on improving its products, good as they are already."
We wish all of them a level of success to match their sports ambitions and the faith they have in our products.
Congratulations to all our athletes for their engagement in their respective disciplines and for all these emotions. We wish them the same success the next season and we want to accompany them towards the highest summits.

By taking the first place of the pursuit on Saturday in Kanthy-Mansiysk, Martin Fourcade wins the general ranking of the World cup. A real exploit at only 23 years old … Patrice Bailly-Salins and Raphaël Poirée realized this huge performance before him. He also takes the small globe of the pursuit and will try on Sunday to gain those of the Mass Start.
“Finally! After 25 races on 26 and a beautiful victory in the pursuit of Kanthy-Mansiysk, I assure myself the victory of the general ranking of the World Cup 2012 and the small globe of the pursuit. The globe returns in France 8 years later after Raphaël Poirée! I am simply happy this evening to reach the major goal of my season. The race would be almost forgotten but she is magnificent and allows me to enjoy completely the victory of the general. With 19/20 and a beautiful head-to-head with Arndt Peiffer, I win here in Russia one year after my world title! Congratulations to the technicians who after a difficult day yesterday were magnificent.”

Today we leave the words to Martin Fourcade who tells us its day in Russia and the first race, the sprint.
"Hello / good evening according to your time zone! I was a little worried for two days (and at nights also) by the overall ranking of the world cup but all the tension however flew away once on my skis. Forgotten the mathematical thoughts and the probability! I take pleasure during this sprint in spite of the difficulty of the race due to a very slow snow. I win finally with beautiful one 10/10 for my 7th victory of the season in front of the German Peiffer and the Swede Lindström. This race allows me to take away the small globe of the sprint, the second of my career after the pursuit in 2010. I also increase my advance for the big globe. At two races of the end the future appears for best”
There are two events before the end of the World cup: the pursuit and the mass start. Martin Fourcade has 86 points in anticipation of Emil Svendsen.

1. Martin Fourcade (FRA) 423 points (ROSSIGNOL)
2. Emil Hegle Svendsen (NOR) 378 points
3. Carl Johan Bergman (SWE) 287 points (ROSSIGNOL)
