World Championships: Grande Lara!

Lara Gut offers the first medal to the Team Rossignol. She takes the second place of the Super G in Schladming World Championships. The Swissgrabs here her third medal in a World Championship after her two silver medals in Val d’Isère in 2009 (downhill and super combined). Winner of a downhill this season, the Swiss girl was very happy of her podium despite a very long day of waiting due to bad weather conditions. Tina Maze becomes World Champion and Julia Mancuso is third. Congratulations also to another member of Team Rossignol, Ilka Stuhec. The Slovenian ends 6th and signs the best result of her young career!

She has signed her two first carrier podium here in Schladming. Second of the downhill and third of the Super G during the last finals, Marion Rolland takes on this first competition of the World Championships with confidence.

SLALOM: HANSDOTTER STILL SECOND!

For the fourth time this season and the sixth time in her career, Frida Hansdotter has taken the second place of the slalom in Maribor. In front of 20 000 thousands people, Tina Maze has won the race. Kathrin Zettel completes the podium.

Frida Hansdotter is now waiting for her first World Cup victory: “First of all, I’m happy with my performance today. Tina did a great job, she is full of confidence and was impossible to beat today. I hope my first victory will come soon, it would be huge if it happens at the World Championships”, explained Frida after the race.

Before the World Championships, she will take part to the City Event in Moscow. Here is the list of qualified athletes.

Born in 1994, Henrik Kristoffersen is a young Norwegian who improves day by day his level in World Cup. This year, in slalom, he ends fifth time in the Top 20. After his 17th rank for his first Kitzbühel, Henrik is now qualified for the Schladming World Championships in slalom.

Maribor: Three Rossignol's racers on Top 10

During Maribor Giant Slalom in Slovenia, Lindsey Vonn takes the wins ahead of Tina Maze. At home, Maze ends second but secures the crystal globe of the speciality. Anna Fenninger completes the podium.

Results are satisfying for Team Rossignol with three girls in Top 10. Jessica Lindell-Vikarby ends 5th, her best season result in Giant Slalom, and she signs her 4th Top 10. We have to note the nice performance of Anémone Marmottan who has known a complicated beginning of season. The French racer realized the second time of the second run and ends 7th. Her teammate Tessa Worley finishes finally 9th.
