It is a new generation of "smart fabric" technology which is perfectly adapted to our needs in our apparel. Taking aerospace technology and applying it to clothing, the 20 000 FEX is comprised of "shape memory polymer", a microscopic molecular structure that offers astounding new properties and performances. WHY INTELLIGENT ? The intelligence of 20 000 FLEX lies in the unique way in which it takes advantage of Micro-Brownian motion (thermal vibration). Micro-Brownian motion occurs when the temperature rises above an activation point. When ambient temperature is below activation point, Molecular structure is rigid, so permeability is low and body heat is retained. When ambient temperature is above activation point, Micro-Brownian movement creates gaps between molecules, increasing permeability so that moisture and body heat can escape. 20 000 FLEX enables the garment to intelligently adjust its insulating properties to temperature changes, assuring optimum comfort in any environment. 20 000 FLEX is really a "self-control" membrane. In addition to its superior waterproofing, permeability and elasticity characteristics, 20 000 FLEX offers 5 supplemental benefits: texture, wind-proof, dwr and durability. 20 000 FLEX is supple and lightweight, with none of the stiffness or weight normally associated with heavy-duty outdoor garment. An advanced surface treatment ensures lasting water repellency. Initial: 90 or over - After 20 washes: 80 or over. The 20 000 FLEX membrane is extremely durable, hard-wearing, and because it's not porous, it is extremely resistant to clogging by salt air, perspiration and oil. It is also extremely resistant to strenuous movements and repeated washings, assuring a long period of high durability. WHY ULTRA FLEXIBLE ?
