Here we are, the X Games just started is Aspen. The Rossignol riders' are ready to roll and the trainings began.
All the team attunes to the big pipe of the X, but they will need more to slow down their motivation and the volition to win.
Here is the first day of trainings...
All the team arrived in Snowmass (Colorado). The weather are not perfect and pipe is still not at the top but nothing stops the riders of Rossignol Team.
Rosalind moves on the runs, Xavier, after a small injury in Snow Bassin during Dew Tour, saves himself. Between its quiet runs, he takes the time to go to the osteopath.
Regarding Kevin, with a lot of objectives in mind and motivated by his coach Greg Guenet, he tries to make a spectacular figure... Focus has to be 100 %. After a first try with a touching down on the back, he goes back up the half pipe and reattempts his jump. He does the figure but Kevin falls forwards and his head bumps into the ice...
"Skis patrol" is immediately called. At first sight, his nose took a good blow as well as his head...
Verdict: after a check-up at the hospital, Kevin has a cranial trauma (of no consequence), a pain in the shoulder and a broken nose...
Few days off before X-Games will be useful for Xavier and Kevin in order to be ready for the event but don't worry; Kevin gets better and recovers from his fall. So for sure, the two guys will offer to us a beautiful show during Winter X-Games in Aspen (Colorado).
One week after his first win in Deer Valley, Guilbaut Colas climbs again in the first step of the podium at Lake Placid (last event of the World Cup Tour before the Olympic Games in Vancouver).
He preempts as the previous week the leader of the World Cup Tour, Dale Begg-Smith. So the french skier confirms his thrid place ranking.
Good results which motivate Guilbaut at only one month from the Olympics.
Good luck in Vancouver.
The second stage of the Dew Tour took place in Snow Bassin last week-end, so it's time for a new episode of FollowUs.tv.
It’s after a good meal, good stretching and a good night that both friends meet on the top of the pipe to run the finals. The conditions are perfect in spite of a pipe smaller than usually.
The trainings were hard with a coping for Xavier, a big impact early in the morning. He has pains on the gluteals and the back, so he decides to see the medical team in order to know if he will be able to run or not. Finally he will make the finals with a less technical run but he will be classified 5th of the event.
Kevin, over motivated, takes a lot of risks in the runs in order to strike the other riders (he was disappointed on the previous Dew Tour)
Unfortunately, he fails on his runs both by falling...
Rosaline Groenewoud, Canadian origin, is classified 3rd in girls’ category...
Don’t worry. Kevin and Xavier are going to train one week in Colorado with their coach Gregory Guenet, to prepare X-Games.
