30° SLANTED SIDEWALLS

Amptek is a revolutionary camber shape by Rossignol. The Amptek camber profile has an early rise tip and tail with traditional camber underfoot. The early rise provides incredible floatation and turn capability in powder, crud and manky snow. REBOUND TIP

All SAS skis have a layer of Visco in the tip and tail of the ski to absorb shocks and reduce over-flexing.

REVERSE SIDECUT

Rossignol's Reverse Sidecut has a spatula shaped tip and a pin shaped tail with regular sidecut directly under the foot.
- Spatula Tip: The tip profile cuts glided through the snow with amazing ease and provides the skier with maximum flotation.
- Sidecut Underfoot: The traditional sidecut underfoot gives you amazing versatility and mind blowing edge hold on groomed snow.
- Pin Tail: The tail profile allow skier to have an efficient angle of attack and let's the skier exit from the turn with ease.

ROCKING CHAIR EFFECT

Aka the "ollie" effect. All SAS models have softer flexing tips and tails, and a stiffer mid-section. This allows the skier to load the tips or tails to spring onto a rail or boost out of the half pipe, and improves skier balance.

SANDWICH STRUCTURE - HARDCORE

The S7and BC110 uses a high resistance core, which is lightweight for wide skis construction. The core made from Poplar wood with Carbon, Kevlar and WRS fiberglass laminates which provides the skier with smooth contact, big pop and is stability at high speed.

WEIGHT REDUCING SYSTEM

Weight Reduction System
Patented fiberglass sock design. The strands of fiber in the core and fiberglass are aligned with the sidecut shape; the core has an increased concentration of fibers under the foot, with less density in the tip and tail. The lighter weight at the extremities gives the skier improved balance, rotation and higher boosts, while the dense concentration of fibers under foot maintain stability for more snap on take-offs and landings. This new orientation optimizes flex and reduces weight by 400g (S4), 600g (S5), 800g (S6) and 1,000g (S7).
