SOUL 7

The future of freeride is here. A revolutionary fusion of backcountry, freestyle, and freeride performance, the all-new Soul 7 is the most versatile freeride ski we've ever designed. Powder Turn Rocker's been redesigned, virtually eliminating "tip flap" while retaining effortless floatation, fatigue-free maneuverability and instant speed control. New athlete-driven innovation, including patented Air Tip technology and a lightweight paulownia core reduces weight by 20% for easier touring, enhanced agility, and ultra-light swing weight. At 106mm underfoot, the Soul 7 is a backcountry and freeride "quiver-killer" whether charging all-mountain, attacking long ascents, or poaching backcountry pow.

    Comments about Rossignol SOUL 7:

On groomed trails it´s work like an "on piste" ski of 20 cm less but with slower changes of turns. Out of piste is expectacular the stability and the turns. Recomended, but remember you need very goog level to make it work properly. It´s not a begginers machine.

      Comments about Rossignol SOUL 7:

The do-it-all ski. sking on the east coast, obviously we are not ripping freshy tracks all day so we make due with what we go. I took this puupy from the glades with 3 inches underneath, to the trees with rock hard bumps and pulled some GS turns on the groomers without loosing any confidence in the ability of the ski. It really can do it all. The honeycomb construction makes it light and snappy enough to float in the powder and bounce through the bumps while the wide shovel and flex allows for great turning and grip, even on ice groomers. Great ski for a single-ski quiver, I would even say beats out the prophet line for the east coast skier due to it being lighter and a but more snappier IMO

        Comments about Rossignol SOUL 7:

As good as an 85 (narrow) waisted "carver' on hard man-made snow -- that was what I've found here in the early season. But with a snow storm and hiking for turns, I've experienced the Soul 7 in its element -- powder and soft snow. It is very playful in the 6" of powder-over-hardpack, rewarding centered skiing with great edge hold on the intermittent hardpack between stretches of powder, requiring no significant adjustments due to loss of balance as the snow conditions change. In authentic deep powder if surfs well, allowing just enough in the snow to get a true powder experience (I'm old-school that way), but with enough float to keep control and have fun on less steep pitches. The perfect ski for the Rockies -- good enough on our "hard" snow, excellent on soft snow.

          Comments about Rossignol SOUL 7:

Ideal when the snow is soft, fortunately the snow is ALWAYS soft on the side of the trail, making this ski always ideal!!!
Great when paired with AT bindings, and Alltrack boots. This is an outstanding set up. I am pumped to be on snow before the lifts open for the season.
Lightweight, good grip, but still silky easy to turn. The Air tip and tail make this ski lighter and easier to manuver.
I'm glad the tail is set up more square. This helps finish the turn better thsn a twin tip.

THE SOUL 7 IS A MUST HAVE FOR THIS SKI SEASON !!!

I was able to ski the Soul 7 in Winterpark and Bend last season. Hard snow and heavy wet snow. This ski preformed well above my expectations in all of the conditions. Super quick and stable on hard snow and loose and fun in the heavy wet stuff!

I demoed this recently at Loveland and everything the magazines have said is true. (that was a surprise) There is not really any soft snow yet, but it had no problem skiing the loud snow. I'm looking at it for a BC ski mostly, and it was more than I expected.

                    Comments about Rossignol SOUL 7:

Last spring I mounted up my new Soul 7's and immediately took them out for some corn skiing. Wow, smooth, fast and stable making corn even more fun!!
This fall I remounted them with a pair of the Look XM13 AT binding and matched up with the Rossignol All Tracker 120 boot. A great combo. So far all the climbing/skiing has been early season in area (not open yet) on man made with a bit of fresh mixed in. The ski performs better than expected and holds extremely well on the rough hard snow. I am looking forward to getting the combo in the backcountry as well as in area. This will be my "go to" ski this winter.

I managed to get a pair of these last season and wish I'd gotten two, one for at the resort and one for touring. They are probably the most versatile ski I've ever been on, I can rip turns on the groomers and still float when I hop off trail. Rossignol did a great job with the new rocker on them, they are super snappy in groomed turns but you can still smear on them in powder like you could with the old S7. They are crazy light, too, which I notice way more than I thought I would. Go find a pair and ski them!
