Ida Ingemarsdotter takes her third medal in these World Championships in Val di Fiemme after the sprint and the team sprint. With her teammates Emma Wiken, Anna Haag and Charlotte Kalla, she takes the second place of the relay 4x5 km. Norway, composed by Heidi Weng, Therese Johaug, Kristin Steira and Marit Bjoergen, has dominated the race. Team Russia ends third. Note also the fourth place of the American relay with Elisabeth Stephen. Member of Team Rossignol, Liz Stephen realizes a nice competition, especially with her 5th place in the 10km.

The 2013 World Classic Sprint Champion Nikita Kriukov (RUS) has realized another strong performance in Val di Fiemme World Championships. With his teammate, Alexey Petukhov, he has taken the gold medal in the Team Sprint. Russia ends first ahead of Team Sweden (Marcus Hellner and Emil Joensson) and Team Kazakhstan (Alexey Poltoranin and Nikolai Chebotko).
After her silver medal in the individual Sprint, Ida Ingemarsdotter from Sweden wins again the same metal during the Team Sprint with his teammate Charlotte Kalla. Jessica Diggins and Kikkan Randall from Team USA become World Champion. Finland takes the bronze with Riikka Sarasoja and Krista Lahteenmaki.

Cross-Country World Championships have begun in Val di Fiemme (ITA) and the results are so interesting for the Team Rossignol. In the Sprint Classic Race, Nikita Kriukov (RUS) became World Champion! In the same time, Ida Ingemarsdotter (SWE) took the silver medal, her first individual career podium during a World Championship.
Olympic titleholder in Sprint, Nikita Kriukov ends first ahead of Norway’s Petter Northug and Canadian’s Alex Harvey. The Russian signs his first individual podium in a World Championship. He had won the bronze medal in Oslo 2011 Team Sprint. Third this winter in Canmore and Lahti, the racer of Team Rossignol pulled it off nicely in the first race of these World Championships.
For the ladies, Norway’s Marit Bjoergen takes the gold medal, her ninth World title! Ida Ingemarsdotter (SWE) takes the silver medal of the sprint ahead of another Norwegian, Maiken Caspersen Falla. Gold medallist in Team Sprint and Silver medallist in the relay in Oslo 2011, Ida Ingemarsdotter has confirmed that she was one of the best specialists in this discipline.

Martin Fourcade comes back from Nove Mesto World Championships with three individual medals, gold in individual, silver in sprint and pursuit. With the mixed relay and the men relay, the biathlete from Team Rossignol adds two silver medals to his record. Jean-Guillaume Béatrix (Rossignol), silver medallist in relay, has taken a nice 7th place in the Mass Start. Tim Burke (Rossignol) was in the podium with Martin Fourcade in the invidual race (2nd).
Martin Fourcade wanted to participate to the Cross-Country World Championships (individual race and relay) next week but yesterday, he announced that he renounced to that. He wishes to grab another crystal globe of the overall ranking in biathlon.

Ladies has only won one medal in the mixed relay with Marie Dorin-Habert and Marie-Laure Brunet. Marie-Laure Brunet has decided to stop her season because of virus.

Martin Fourcade dominates the men’s 20km individual in Nove Mesto and grabs his fifth title of World Champion. He wins ahead of another member of Team Rossignol, Tim Burke from USA. Fredrik Lindstrom completes the podium. Martin Fourcade has now succeeded in the fourth individual’s disciplines in biathlon with the gold medal of the sprint, pursuit, mass start and individual. On Saturday, he will try to get the gold medal with the French Team in relay.

"I was confident from morning. There was a lot of electricity in the air...I was so focused. I knew that I just had to listen and follow my body. I watched the Alpine skiing today and saw a countryman win the Gold and thought, 'It is a good day for French skiing today.' It was good day for me."
Tim Burke takes the silver medal, giving the USA only its second World Championships medal ever since Josh Thompson in 1987.
