Kuusamo : Victories of Krioukov and Legkov!

Riders in this news :  Alexander LEGKOV  ; Nikita KRIUKOV

Day 1

Nikita Kriukov (RUS) stole victory from Petter Northug (NOR) as he out sprinted the Norwegian on the finishing straight. Eirik Brandsdal (NOR) claimed third place.

Nikita Kriukov (RUS): I feel very good. I was fast in the qualification but quarterfinal was difficult for me. On the last climb I did not have that much power. But semifinal and final was easier for me. I knew that Petter was very strong in the last uphill. When I saw him I tried to beat him. Tonight I fly to Canada.
