Greetings from Whistler!

Wow, I'm here at the Camp of Champions since more than three weeks already and I still can't get enough. At the moment I'm just looking forward to my last week here and I look back to a super nice time that I already spent here with lots of good memories.
I met very cool people and some of them even became real good friends, like my Deeluxe teammate Henry who is sharing the room with me. I'm also stoked on the riding time which I get here. The Park has lots of good and different obstacles, like a Pipe, many rails and three big kickers in a row, which are most of the time in a good shape.
My typical day here looks like this: I wake up at 6:30 am and arrive at the top of the Glacier at about 8:30 am. Than I help in the Camp to set everything up and the rest of the time until 2 I go shredding in the Park. After I helped in the Camp taking everything down I start off to one of the lakes or I play table tennis with friends.
Today is one of those beautiful hot days and I just got back from the Glacier. Now I can't wait to go to the lake again to swim and relax there.

:-)

ITW Xavier De le Rue - PART II

R: Do you impose yourself a particular trainning for summer?
X: Not really. In fact summer is for me time to laid back from the season and spend more time with my family. I practise theses sports for my personal pleasure but I don't want to charge my trainning and do too much sport, in order to preserve my build.

R: What are your objectives for next season?
X: I would loved have a video segment in a big production, I will defend my title at the Freeride World Tour and participate to the organisation of a freeride event. I will explain this more in details in the next months.

Thanks Xav' !

Summer ITW of Xavier De le Rue - PART I

Xavier has now finished the season, he's going to have a sporty nice summer. Questions and answers to a freerider:

Rossignol: After a really fat season, what are you going to do this summer? Any plans?:
Xavier De le Rue: At first this summer, I will stay and rest at home a little bit in the Pyrenees, to spend time with my wife and my daughter. I will have surf sessions in Biarritz and I will also do rock climbing. This summer will be the ocassion to have a small surgical operation to take some old screws off my shoulder ! Then I will travel, first in Argentina where I've got a photoshoot, then in Australia for holydays. I've also won the prize of the "Oxbow back to powder" contest which is a trip to Hawaii with the legender pro surfer Laird Hamilton ! For end october, I will go to Antartica for two weeks, where I will go on board from Ushuaïa. Activities planned are free rando, snowboard and kitesurf.

R: You talk about rock climbing and kitesurf, is there more sports that you practise during summer?:
X: A part from rock climbing and kitesurfing, I do mountaineering, surfing and also lot of biking.

Part II coming soon...
