Kriukov wins Asiago sprint: First ever World Cup win
World Champion and Olympic Champion, Nikita Kriukov has signed his first World Cup victory this Saturday in Asiago. The Russian from Rossignol Team took the first place ahead of Gianluca Cologna and Alexey Poltoranin. Now, he wears the red bib of the Sprint World Cup leader.
Nikita Kriukov (RUS): “I am very happy to get my first World Cup victory. It was tough conditions but I’m very happy. I would like to say thank you to Italy it was a great competition today.
Team Sprint: Rossignol well represented on the podium
The Finnish team with Aino Kaisa Saarinen ends first of the Team Sprint race for the ladies. The men’s race was so closed with a photo finish between Norway I and Kazakhastan I. Eldar Roenning takes finally the first place for Norway. In third, you find Norway II with Oystein Pettersen.
