The 2013-2014 World Cup season begins this Saturday in Sölden (AUT). Girls from Team Rossignol have already accurate goals for the winter. Get up-to-date with Tessa Worley, Lara Gut or Frida Hansdotter.
Tessa Worley (FRA), Giant World Champion 2013: “I wish to improve my level in all the World Cup’s disciplines and find once again regularity in slalom. I want also to participate to the Olympic Games and come back with the most beautiful medal!”
Frida Hansdotter (SWE), slalom bronze medallist in Schladming 2013: “Last season was a great season with four podium finishes and bronze medal at the World Championships. This season, Olympics are the big goal. Then of course the World Cup would be very nice to get my first podium place in giant slalom and my first victory in slalom.”
Ragnhild Mowinckel (NOR), Combined Junior World Champion 2013: “My goals for this coming season are: kicking ass at the World Cup, meaning quite a few top 10 positions, getting to Sochi and improve my starting positions in the World Cup starting list, especially in Giant Slalom and Super G! “
Lara Gut (SUI), 2013 silver medallist in Super G in Schladming: “Skiing fast, improving my level in Super G, Giant Slalom, Downhill and continue slalom for next years: it’s my goals. I would like to find the same performance during all the winter.”
Nathalie Eklund (SWE): “I am really looking forward to this season, I will start up in the top 15 for the first time, and for sure my goal is to still be there in the end of the season, and even better. And this is a Olympic season, and for sure I want to make it all the way to Sochi. Keep on going with the GS, work hard and hopefully do some top 30th races, at least, that’s my goal.”
Manuela Moelgg (ITA): “I hope I will have a good start in this new season and my big goals are good results in Sochi”.
Jessica Lindell Vikarby (SWE): “My goals for this season is to step up on the podium again in the World Cup, GS has been working best last year but I´m also trying to get back on top in Super G. Then, off course, the Olympics are the highlight of the season and if I have good result before Sochi I will have a chance for a medal!”
Maria Pietilae-Holmner (SWE): “I’m feeling great to be back and well prepared after two seasons with injuries. My first big goal is to improve my GS and of course I have high goals for the Olympics Games in Sochi!”
