Downhill women: Lara Gut (SUI), bronze medal

The women's downhill ended with a unique result. The top of the podium was shared by two athletes: Tina Maze and Dominique Gisin had identical times to the nearest hundredth of a second: 1 minute, 41.57 seconds. Bronze went to a Switzerland's Lara Gut, who has lagged behind the leaders by just 10 hundredths of a second. It’s the first Olympic medal for the Rossignol racer.

Lara Gut already has a magnificent prize list at 22 years-old. The Swiss counts 3 silver medals at the World Championships and add an Olympic medal to her prize-list.
