OVERSIZE = POWER CONTROL
Combines two ski construction ideas: carving skis with large sidecut, and wide-waisted freeride skis. Oversize takes the benefits of both shapes and crosses them, allowing for strong performance with ease of control. The aggressive oversized tip & tail dimensions of the carving ski produce precision, strong edging, and power. The wide waist dimension of the freeride ski increases stability and helps tame the strong sidecut. The OVERSIZE skis offer extreme manageability and comfortable control from turn to turn.
Inspired from WC racing skis for maximum performance :
- Classic laminate construction , vertical sidewalls, snub nose tip, square tail.
- Oversize sidecut : The tip and tail keep the same dimensions and only the waist width changes, resulting in different behavior and turn radii
X series : 124 – 80 – 112 for stability and speed
S series : 124 – 70 – 112 for edge grip and quickness
Sandwich construction with vertical sidewalls.
Different types of sidewalls and laminate materials can be used to change or alter the behavior of the ski. This gives the Rossignol technicians the ability to change or adapt the skis behavior on an on-going process, thus making the worlds fastest skis.
Race-proven construction of wood core, fiberglass, and metal laminate lay-ups with vertical sidewalls provide optimum racing flex patterns.
TWIN PULSION INTEGRAL 2 (TPI2)
Integrated ski/binding system.
Addition of a composite beam in a TWIN rails. The binding slides on this beam to enable tool-free setting for all boot sizes.
This system functions with AXIAL2 and AXIUM binding technologies.
VAS - Vibration Absorbing System
Selective vibration damping system.
Elastomers built into the ends of the ski structure, in particular in the Zenith range.
Comfort – stability – "feel"
