Tour de Ski : Five podiums including three victories for Rossignol !

Riders in this news :  Eldar RØNNING

The Tour de Ski ended this Sunday at Val Di Fiemme with the Final Climb onto Alpe Cermis. It was a very strong stage. Nine kilometres including three, where the skiers go up an alpine skiing slope !

If Dario Cologna crossed the finish line first, it’s the Russian Alexander Legkov who signs the best time. After his underachievement Saturday, it’s nice success for him. During the 20km classic, he has lost his third place in the overall ranking. The new Rossignol recruit was disappointed but he finishes yet 5th of the overall. Winner of the 5km race in Toblach, the, third of the Pursuit, he has realised very interesting performances during this Tour de Ski.

There is another satisfaction for Rossignol in this Tour de Ski, the classic’s domination with Eldar Roenning. The Norwegian has signed the best time during the pursuit in Oberhof. Few days later, he finishes second in Toblach behind Legkov (5km). But the silver medallist in the World championships wants more. In Val Di Fiemme for the 20km, after a tactic run, he crossed the finish line first

The Russian Nikita Kriukov added another victory for the brand during the Tour de Ski. He wins the stage 3, the Oberstdorf’s sprint in Germany. Rossignol puts five skiers in the Top 15 in the overall ranking. Two girls, Katrin Zeller (6th) and Aino-Kaisa Saarinen (9th) finish in the Top 10. A beautiful success for the Rossignol X-Ium products !

VIDEO : Robin Duvillard, « A perfect day !»

21th of the stage 8 of the Tour de Ski, Robin Duvillard was satisfied of his performance.

“It’s my better result in classic, I’m in a great shape, I win few places for the overall ranking and my skis are really good. It was a perfect day !”

Then, the Frenchman explains what are the particularities of the Tour de Ski : “It’s a new event in cross country, only the 6th edition. It’s like le “Tour de France”. Nine stages in eleven days, each run is different (skate, classic…) and all the day you have a ranking with bonus. The exceptional character of the Tour de Ski is the last stage. The final up is an alpine skiing slope during three kilometres. It will be very special, it’s very hard !”

“Last year, I finished 20th so this year, I would like ton finish in a better rank ! I would try to take advantage of my good shape today !”
