A first place for the biathlete Martin Fourcade!
Martin Fourcade made a sensational entry into the field by winning the 20km individual in Östersund. He won ahead Slesingr Michal and Simon Schempp at the IBU World Cup Biathlon. Impressive precision and speed, he was far ahead his two challengers and was even credited with a shooting at 19/20 points. It opens a fine perspective for the new season coming. The Czech Michal Slesingr just take a nice second place, well behind the rocket Fourcade, at 1min54 behind. He rides for the seventh time in his career on a World Cup podium.
The next round, the 10 km sprint, will be held Friday, also in Sweden.
