World Cup, Kuusamo (Fin) :
Aino Kaisa Saarinen wins the women’s 10 km classical!
2 and 3 podium in the men’s sprint with Oeysten Pettersen and Nikita Kriukov!

Already winner of the 10 km C last winter in Kuusamo, Finn Aino Kaisa Saarinen kept up the good work climbing once again the highest step of the podium this year! She grabs thus her 3rd World Cup win!
“I felt really good during the entire race. Our waxing staff did as well a great job as usual in Kuusamo. I’m really happy with my race and happy that so many friends where here and cheering me. But I think already of the next races…In December I will go to Davos to a high altitude training camp.”

Saturday was also a great day for the Rossi team with a fantastic 2 and 3 podium achieved by Norwegian Oeystein Pettersen and Russian Nikita Kriukov!
2nd in the Sprint classical, Oeystein scored here his 4th career World Cup podium!
“I was training well since May, I had no problems either with Astma or something else. I felt always good and also today during the race. At the start of the final, I thought that maybe today I could go to the Flash interview as the winner but Ola Vigen was simply faster at the end. But still, I’m very happy with my race today and as well with the podium spot.”
Beside Oeystein, we find on the third step of the podium Nikita Kriukov who celebrates as for him the first podium of his career!
“It is my first podium and for sure I’m very happy. It is a tough course here with also challenging downhills and a steep last uphill. The people on the course where amazing and I would like to say thank you to them for cheering us.”
