Biathlon: New silver medal for Martin Fourcade

Riders in this news :  Martin FOURCADE

Norway’s Emil Svendsen claimed his second individual Gold medal in the men’s pursuit today with a furious sprint in the final 100 meters to edge France’s Martin Fourcade by one-tenth-of-a-second and 2,4 centimetres. Anton Shipulin finished third.

Despite his three silver medals since the beginning of these World Championships, Martin Fourcade was a little sad to loose his titles of World Champion: "I am disappointed; it was really hard for me to lose today. I felt very good today. When I saw him in the last meters I knew it would be hard to beat him... I will think about this 2.4 cm everyday when I train next summer."

Russian’s Alexander Legkov and Ilia Chernousov end just off the podium because of Chernousov’s fall just before the finish line.
