It’s the first podium in the Tour de Ski Prologue for Alexander Legkov (Rossignol). The Russian was in good shape: “I felt very good today. The course was not that icy like yesterday. I felt very good during the prologue. I will think about the plan for tomorrow's pursuit in the evening but there are many good skiers out there. I have to focus on my skiing tomorrow and find my way out of the pack.”

Pokljuka, the summary of the weekend

Two podiums for Martin Fourcade, one for Tim Burke, the Team Rossignol has still shown nice things in Pokljuka in Slovenia. Fourcade ends the year with the yellow bib of leader.
Sprint: 3rd place for Martin Fourcade (FRA)
"I have been away from home since November 2, raced two cross-country races and all of the biathlon competitions so far. I am tired. Generally, I am not very good at the end of December, but will in better shape in early January. Still, I am pleased to be on the podium here. In other years, I have always been sick."
Pursuit: 3rd place for Martin Fourcade (FRA)
"Even though I am tired, I am quite proud of my six podiums this season. Emil and I did the perfect race for the first three stages. In the final stage, I was more focused on him than on my shooting and missed two shots."
Mass Start: 3rd for Tim Burke (USA)
"I felt the best today that I have all season...It took almost all of last year to come back from my compartment surgery and regain my confidence that I was as fast as before...I am very happy to back up here."
Dorin-Habert on the podium

It’s the first podium of the season for Marie Dorin-Habert but also for the French Team. The Rossi’s biathlete signs a 19/20 on shooting and grabs the 3rd rank. It’s the fifth podium of her career. Here is her reaction after the race: "I am happy to be here. I think our whole team improved in shooting this year, so I think we will have more good results this season."
For Marie-Laure Brunet it’s a little bit complicated: “I quit the sprint. I am not in good form. I don't know why. I will make some medical exams when I come back in France.”

Good results for Team Rossignol in Québec! During the sprint, Ida Ingemarsdotter signs the first podium of her season with a 3rd place. Teodor Petterson, winner of the small globe of the Sprint last year, ends second after a photo finish.
Ida Ingemarsdotter (SWE): “In the last lap I knew something was happening. I watched for my position. I am very satisfied with my third place. It is a good start of the season for me.”
Teodor Petterson (SWE): “Last year we had couple of city sprints and this one was one of the best. The course was very good and crowds made the competitions special. We skiers would like to experience the atmosphere of Québec again. The tactics are different in each competition. Today I skied little behind and it worked fine for me.”

Hochfilzen : Fourcade makes the job

What a weekend for Martin Fourcade! The Rossignol’s biathlete climbed three times on the podium in Hochfilzen (Austria) with a second place in the Sprint and the Relay and a third rank during the Pursuit.
Martin Fourcade continues his good beginning of season. In Hochfilzen, the biathlete of Rossignol Team, ends second with one penalty and just four-tenths-of-a-second behind Andreas Birnbacher. Slovenia’s Jakov Fak finishes third.
“I was well informed. It was not an advantage to be behind Andi today. I was just ahead with a kilometer to go, but then lost a small amount of time by the finish. I am still happy that I finished second, but sad about such a small gap between us”, explains the four time World Champion.
During the pursuit, Birnbacher and Fourcade were closed but it’s Jakov Fak who claimed the first World Cup win of his career ahead of Dimitry Malyshko and Martin Fourcade (3 penalties). He signs his 4th podium in five races. “Even with three penalties, I still wanted to go for the win.”, said Fourcade after his podium and before the relay.
On Sunday, during the relay, Martin Fourcade and his Rossi’s teammate Jean-Guillaume Béatrix take the second place. With Alexis Boeuf, they have honoured the last race of Vincent Jay, the 2010 Olympic Champion.
