Generally, a snowboard is chosen according to a rider’s weight, ability and riding style. A shorter snowboard will be more manageable and easier to maneuver – great for beginners, lighterweight, or more freestyle-oriented riders. A longer snowboard will be faster and more stable – great for heavier, more advanced, or aggressive freeriders.
For more freestyle-oriented performance: size between your shoulder and chin.
For more freeride-oriented performance: size between your chin and nose or above.

Comments about Rossignol JIBSAW MAGTEK WIDE:
I really like the board for riding all over the mountain. The down side is the edge started to separate. I tried to epoxy it but it did not hold. This is my second jibsaw. I think it should last longer then a season and a few months. granted we do ride a lot in c.o. I am now reluctant to buy this years board because they stopped making the 160 size. It is a shame rossignol doesn't think a guy 210 pounds hits the park. I hope the 158 will hold up to the stress of a bigger guy.I really hope that my board was pressed on a friday or a monday when people are trying to get out of work early or just don't want to be there on a monday and this is not standard quality.
