    Comments about Rossignol EXPERIENCE 98:

First off, this is an amazing ski. My last pair of skis were Rossignol Radical 9SL which are also fantastic skis- but only on icy well groomed terrain. - I do SL racing.
Rossignol 98 skis can do 80% of what an SL ski does in addition to 80% of what a big all-mountain/powder ski can do. If you ski all over the mountain and want one ski that does it all, this is it

As to the type of skier, you MUST be strong and at least advanced if not an expert to use these as intended, if you're not, go with the 88's instead. This ski lets you ski fast effortlessly, however it does not really perform well at low speed/light force. They are rather stiff and require someone to put in some serious energy OR speed to make them flex. If you like to ski fast, and make it look easy- these are for you.

What i dont like? - They are not durable. The top of the ski is not protected with a metal shield and the ski's seem to chip easily. I've used them 10 times and they look as if they've been used for a hard 3 seasons. My Radical SL9 are 2 years old and look almost new.

      Comments about Rossignol EXPERIENCE 98:

I have used this ski in gladed areas, on groomers, and on powder days and feel that it is a ski without compare. I was initially worried that I chose a ski that was a little too wide underfoot and a little too wide at the tip for the kind of skiing I normally do. I was so very wrong about that. This ski is as close to perfect as they come for all around skis. I have always felt that if something claims to do everything well... it can't do anything that well. That is not the case with this ski.

        Comments about Rossignol EXPERIENCE 98:

I use this ski when I go on northern New England trips and all the international trips I go on. You never know what the conditions will be. I'm on my second pair.
I have 5 friends that were so impressed with this ski they went out and bought them too.
From from early morning high speed groomer arcs and overnight 12" dumps to late day clusters of broken snow. The 98 will do it all.

This one surprised me at the Loveland demo last weekend. solid, stable, no speed limit. I tried the 180, and decieded to sack up and take out the 188. I went back to the 180 quick. They turn great hold unreal and as long as you ski the right size they are awesome

                Comments about Rossignol EXPERIENCE 98:

This is like a GS/SG fat ski that excels at hauling on western soft or firm groomers, but is at home ripping the cut up snow in the wide open bowls. The elusive 'one ski' quiver IMO. Ultimately a full on pow ski for the big snow days might be needed, but for the majority of Whistler days, this is an outstanding choice. One of my favourite skis of all time.
