Riders in this news : Lara GUT
Two races, two victories this season for Lara Gut! After her first place in Sölden’s giant slalom, the Swiss racer has dominated the downhill in Beaver Creek ahead of Tina Weirather (+0.47) and Elena Fanchini (+0.98). The skier from Rossignol Team signs her second victory in this discipline and her 11th World Cup podium.
Lara Gut was at her best after the trainings (two victories, one third place) and today, she was the favorite on this compact and aggressive snow.
“Today the snow was a bit different, maybe like on the second day of training. I'm in good shape right now and really enjoyed fighting on this course. I tried to be as clean as possible on my skis and even if I didn't quite manage to do so today, I'm really happy it worked out well in the end.”
The 2013 Super G silver medallist could be proud to have control on this challenging “Raptor”, slope which will be the theater of the next World Championships in 2015.
