Riders in this news : Henrik KRISTOFFERSEN
At only 19 years old, Henrik Kristoffersen has signed his first World Cup career podium. He finishes third just behind the two Austrians Marcel Hirscher and Mario Matt. Fourth of the first run, the racer of the Team Rossignol has found the right way of skiing in the second and confirms all his talent.
“My goal for this season was to make it into the top 10, but today was like a dream. I had a good first run, knew I had a shot at going far but I tried to keep myself calm by thinking it was just another race. When I realized I made my first podium, I experienced probably the best feeling a skier could ever wish for,” said Kristoffersen during the press conference.
Junior Giant Slalom World Champion in 2012 and Combined in 2013, junior slalom and combined silver medallist in 2012, winner of two Europe Cups, the Norwegian are only on the World Cup tour since March 2012. He begins very well this new season and as his teammate Aksel Lund Svindal says on Twittre, this podium is not “the last” of the young Kristoffersen!
The next stage will take place in Lake Louise, Canada in 15 days for the first speed men races. Stay tuned!
