The stage of Madonna di Campiglio was missing on the World Cup calendar since seven years. Racers and public were happy to see again this night slalom. Here is the podium: 1. Marcel Hirscher, 2. Felix Neureuther, 3. Naoki Yuasa. For Rossignol, Leif Kristian Haugen signs his best career result in slalom with the 8th place and a high bib (35). Henrik Kristoffersen continues his learning of World Cup and for the second time this year after Levi (11th), he enters to Top 15 (14th).
Wednesday, December 19th : Giant Slalom W
The first run of the night giant slalom of Are wasn’t easy for all the girls. After the race, Tessa Worley said that she missed her first run because of a too much aggressive skiing (8th). She corrected her mistakes and won the second run. But it wasn’t enough to catch the 3rd place of the podium. She finally ends off to the podium. Viktoria Rebensburg wins ahead of Anna Fenninger and Tina Maze, who doesn’t win for the five in a row the Giant Slalom.
Frida Hansdotter confirms her good shape with a new 5th place after Courchevel. Her Swedish teammate, Jessica Lindell-Vikarby, finishes 8th.

After her third place in St Moritz last week, Tessa Worley goes back up on the samestair of the podium in Courchevel. With the bib 1, the racer of Le Grand-Bornand took the 2nd place of the first run. The conditions were very particular, icy snow and poor visibility. In the second run, Tessa didn’t give away in front her public and grabs finally the third place of the Giant Slalom. Tina Maze wins her 4th GS this season ahead of the Austrian Kathrin Zettel. Worley signs today her 10th career podium, the first in France, and she was very satisfied: “I’m just so happy for a podium in France. I just can see all the people I know, they are happy for me, it’s always a little bit more than the other races. The conditions were very icy compare to the first races. But snow was perfect! Thanks to the organisation for the hard work. I loved this stuff conditions. I’m very happy today.”
Good results too for Frida Hansdotter who signs her best career result in Giant Slalom with a 5th place. It’s promising before the technical’s races in Are at home for the Swedish girl. Irene Curtoni ends 7th and shows her regularity in this discipline (8th in Sölden, 5th in Aspen, 7th in St Moritz).

Rossi’s girls rock in Val d’Isère this Friday on the slope “OK” in La Daille. Lara Gut has profited of her bib 2 to sign the best time of the race and her first career victory in Downhill. The 21-year-old Swiss skier is ahead of another Ross’s racer Leanne Smith and her teammate Nadja Kamer. It’s the 8th podium of Lara Gut but especially her first victory with Rossignol. The two podiums of Stacey Cook in Lake Louise had inspiring Leanne Smith who grabs the first podium of her career with a second place. The 25-year-old American was very happy after the downhill: “I was really happy with the run that I put together today, this was beyond my expectations even if the 16th hundreds could have been made up. That’s really encouraging for future races”.
Marie Marchand-Arvier, who won the last training, ends just off the podium by 0.20 s. Two others girls of Team Rossignol are in the Top 10: Marion Rolland 9th and Stacey Cook 10th.
