Winnerhofer is back! The triple medal winner of the last World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Christof Innerhofer, won the last Super G of the season during the finals of Schladming. After a difficult winter and only a third place in Wengen, the Italian racer was very happy of his performance on the slope of the next World Championships in 2013.
Team Rossignol felt good on the Austrian slopes. Matteo Marsaglia ends fourth, the best result of his career in this discipline (4th in Sochi in Super Combined). He could win the race if he didn’t make a mistake four gates before the finish.
“It’s very good to finish the season like that but I’m a little disappointed because during the three first inter, I was ahead. I was before Innerhofer who won. I lost time four gates before the finish line. I think the gate was simpler to take but I put the skis across and it was useless. Otherwise I think I could win the race. Our results with Christof Innerhofer are interesting and besides we are in the same team, we have the same Rossi’s skis, the same technician. If the slope is the same next year, it will be good!”

"It is really incredible! In descent I had big envy for podium but I didn’t think it was possible in Super G. It is really brilliant, I took advantage to have a small number, good conditions and I had a little of luck also that Lindsey Vonn makes a big mistake! I hope in any case that my first podium yesterday was the click"
Leanne Smith (Rossignol) ends fifth and signs the best result of her career.
