News of his thumb :“My thumb is rather well. The fall was impressive at the time but I simply have to wear a splint during three weeks. Besides, in slalom there are many contacts with gates thus it allows me to protect it.”
Have you a particular apprehension?“No, I felt reassured during the FIS of Westendorf on Thursday evening. Some runs are always needed to recover inside after a fall but that goes, I know again how to ski. I shall have preferred that does not arrive but this is the law of the ski and the sport of top-level. “
Kitzbühel and Schladming are good memories for him :“I like this region, the atmosphere also. It is a knowing public, that motivates me. I have already won here so I am in confidence. These two slaloms arrive at the right time.”
On Saturday to Kranjska Gora, the girls of the Team Rossignol realized a very nice doubled during the giant slalom. Second after the first leg, Tessa Worley offers herself the 6th victory of his career in the World Cup after a second run perfectly mastered. On the Slovenian slope, Federica Brignone showed again all its qualities and comes to take place just behind the skier of the Grand-Bornand, in 56 hundredth. Worley and Brignone had already risen together on the podium this season. To Lienz in Austria, the Italian had ended 2nd and the 3rd Frenchwoman. To note also the good place of Anemone Marmottan who is 7th.
Tessa Worley : “This is great, I have been waiting for this for a while. The conditions were perfect for me, I like it much to ski on hard and difficult slopes as this one. It’s a great course for women, you really need to fight hard from top to bottom and some parts were very icy. I felt well and went for it in the second run. This win is a strong boost for my confidence. It’s just too bad that I have to wait now for a long time prior racing again in giant slalom”
