Riders in this news : Manuela MOELGG
After a good 5th place this morning in the first run in spite of
a big mistake in the steep part, Manuela signs today her first
podium of the season, clocking the 3rd best time of the first Giant
Slalom of the season!
A kind of dream come true for the Italian skier who is still looking for a first World Cup win but who was looking forward a podium here, in Sölden, her favourite run of the circuit, since a long time.
“I love the run here and one of my main goals was to clinch a podium here on this technical and challenging run. This result gives me a lot of confidence cause I know I make big mistake in the first run and I am still on the podium today… So, I have a big margin of improvement, and I can go for more…”
This is today the 9th career podium for Manuela Moelgg who is more than ready to concretize big achievements this season, keeping an eye on the World Champ to come in February at Garmisch.
Note also in today’s race the promising results from the French girls Tessa Worley, 8th and Anémone Marmottan, 9th.
Federica Brignogne, our young Italian skier who signed a first podium last year in Aspen, make a good race too, taking 11th place in this GS ahead of Canadian Marie-Michele Gagnon, 2nd best time in the 2nd round, finishing 13th.
In all in all 5 Rossignol ladies enter the top 15 in today’s Giant Slalom… A good way to start the season 10/11!
